Invisalign®️ aligners are digitally custom made to securely fit around your teeth, gently moving them over a period of time. Patients find it extremely comfortable and generally forget that they are even wearing them after the first week or so of treatment.

Generally, Invisalign®️ aligners should only be removed for eating and cleaning. We recommend they be worn for at least 20 hours every day. This gives patients the option of removing the appliance temporarily for special events like weddings, job interviews or heart-stopping first dates. Comfort and ease of cleaning mean that you don’t have to avoid tougher foods like red meat.

While straighter teeth are always good news for oral health, treatment with metal braces isn’t always kind to the teeth. They can be especially a problem for patients engaged in contact sports or martial arts when sharp edges and wires can easily damage the mouth and gums. The straightening forces exerted on the teeth by Invisalign®️ are much gentler than those exerted by Fixed wire and brackets.

PROCESS: STEP BY STEP

1. SAY HELLO
During your free consultation you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your treatment with me and ask all your questions.

2. LET’S GET STARTED
We’ll start by checking your smile to ensure your teeth and gums are healthy before taking impressions of your teeth. These are then used to plan your treatment using Invisalign’s innovative ClinCheck software.

3. YOUR DIGITAL JOURNEY
Your ClinCheck will show you how your teeth should move during your Invisalign®️ treatment – as well as your all-important end result.

4. THE BIG DAY
At your next appointment we’ll fit your first set of aligners. In some cases we’ll need to attach small tooth-coloured buttons to your teeth to help with certain movements and the improvements in your smile will start immediately as you leave the clinic

5. KEEP IN TOUCH
We’ll see you approximately every one to two months to check your progress and give you your new sets of aligners. If you have any questions in between we’re always available by telephone or email.

6. CONGRATULATIONS!
When you reach the end of your treatment we’ll provide you with fixed and/or removable retainers to help you to maintain your fantastic results for years to come.
